Instead of designing a piece, sourcing materials for that design, and making that design, I instead first sourced existing material, in this case an old wood pallet, and created my design based on the existing geometry and conditions of the wood pallet. The step stool was made of two separate parts so each piece can be used independently, in a multi-purpose manner.
